Job Title: AI Launch Specialist

Location: Palo Alto, CA

About Us

Sage Care is a fast-growing Series A healthcare technology startup founded by leaders from Apple, Uber, and Carbon Health. We recently emerged from stealth with $20 million in funding led by Yosemite, and investors including General Catalyst, Metrodora Ventures (co-founded by Chelsea Clinton), OVTR.VC, SV Angel, Liquid 2 Ventures, Seven Stars, Refract Ventures, AME Cloud Ventures, and Apolo Ohno.

Our founding story and vision were recently profiled in Forbes, highlighting Sage Care’s mission to build an “air-traffic-control system for healthcare.”

With a strong customer pipeline, Sage Care is transforming healthcare by simplifying care navigation. Our platform makes it easier for patients to find the right doctor, helps providers focus on those who need them most, and ensures faster access to care. By harnessing clinically grounded AI and real-time optimization, we improve operational efficiency, increase system capacity, and deliver better patient outcomes at scale.

About the role

We’re looking for an implementation leader and partner who will own the trusted relationships with our health systems while balancing the resources of our product and engineering teams to successfully launch our platform through long term partnerships. As the AI Launch Specialist, you will own the entire partner onboarding and implementation lifecycle, building the processes and operational excellence needed to deploy our solution successfully at scale.

In this highly critical role, you’ll be reporting directly to the COO, become a trusted advisor to our executive champions and drive detailed launch progression alongside peers in product and engineering. You will lead this cross functional team as the face of Sage Care with our trusted partners, overcoming any issues as they come to ensure successful, scalable launches.

Key Responsibilities

Launch Leadership

  • Own end-to-end customer implementation from kickoff through go-live and early adoption

  • Architect and continuously improve implementation frameworks, playbooks, timelines, and best practices

  • Serve as the strategic partner to customers during onboarding, aligning product capabilities with clinical/workflow needs

  • Lead technical implementation efforts including integrations, data mapping, and configuration in collaboration with Product/Engineering

  • Establish and manage rollout plans, training programs, and measurable success criteria

  • Identify risks, manage escalations, and ensure strong cross-functional communication

  • Create repeatable processes that support scaling from a handful of customers to dozens

  • Set quality standards and develop tools to improve consistency and efficiency

Customer & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Develop trusted relationships with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders at customer organizations

  • Act as a subject matter expert on workflow redesign, change management, and clinical adoption of AI solutions

  • Translate customer insights into product requirements, feature requests, and roadmap priorities

Operational Excellence

  • Implement KPIs and dashboards to track implementation timelines, satisfaction, adoption, and ROI

  • Design scalable processes for integrations, data ingestion pipelines, and environment configuration

  • Drive continuous improvement and operational rigor as the company grows

  • Evaluate and implement tools for project management, training, and analytics

Communication & Problem-Solving

  • Strong communication skills are critical in engaging with partners to uncover their pain points and translate them into clear, actionable solutions.

  • Collaborate with partners to brainstorm and develop solutions to their challenges, ensuring alignment with their business goals and technical requirements.

Collaboration with Internal Teams

  • Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to relay partner feedback, influencing product improvements and ensuring alignment with partner needs.

Qualifications

  • 7–12+ years of experience in implementation, professional services, operations, or deployment roles

  • Strong background in healthcare (providers, payers, home health, senior care, or digital health vendors)

  • Comfortable bridging business, clinical, and technical domains

  • Proven track record of implementing complex SaaS or AI-based solutions

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels—from end users to C-suite

  • A builder mindset: excited to create processes, define metrics, and scale a function from scratch

  • Ability to travel 75% of the time which includes weeks onsite to support launch initiatives

Nice to Have

  • Experience in AI/ML or automation workflows

  • Background working with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, PointClickCare, eClinicalWorks, etc.)

  • Previous experience in professional services, solutions engineering, or customer success
