DX Engineer

SoftwareSF · Mid · Series C

Our mission is to automate coding. The first step in our journey is to build the best tool for professional programmers, using a combination of inventive research, design, and engineering. Our organization is very flat, and our team is small and talent dense. We particularly like people who are truth-seeking, passionate, and creative. We enjoy spirited debate, crazy ideas, and shipping code.

We’re looking for an exceptional engineer to teach the future of software engineering. This role is on our Developer Relations team, where you’ll work across marketing, product, and engineering to make Cursor the best place to code with AI.

This role is based in SF or NY, however remote with travel for the right candidate is possible.

What you'll do

  • Teach developers what you can build with Cursor’s API, SDK, Plugins, Automations, and more

  • Explore the fringes of AI models, coding agents, and the future of software engineering

  • Build relationships with developers using their feedback to help shape product direction

  • Build creative ways to automate your work with coding agents and increase your leverage

  • Travel to meetups and conferences occasionally and talk to developers on social media

You may be a fit if

  • You are a great engineer and love building things to solve your own problems

  • You have strong opinions about what great developer marketing looks like

  • You are a power user of Cursor and other coding agents

  • You understand the developer zeitgeist and internet culture

  • You would describe yourself as an excellent writer

  • You pull inspiration from other interests and describe yourself as a creative person

  • You care about the quality and correctness of documentation
